On September 10, about 150 watch collectors, enthusiasts and professionals attended the Only Watch preview exhibition cocktail party at Tourneau TimeMachine in New York. Marveling at the ingenuity and beauty of the individual timepieces, many collectors were eager to place their bids for these extraordinary pieces. Brand representatives were on hand to proudly present their one-of-a-kind design while also surveying the work of their industry peers.
"I believe this magnificent collection really encapsulates the future of the watch industry," said Osvaldo Patrizzi. "Innovation, imagination, creativity and beauty are all represented. Watches are no longer simply about telling time — these models are truly works of kinetic art."
Guests agreed, as they admired the devotion to craft and ingenuity, particularly knowing they could own such a distinguished object with 100 percent of their purchase aiding an important cause, research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
The Only Watch 09 world tour received a fabulous welcome from London watch collectors, London City financiers, the media and watch aficionados in general when the world renowned Asprey, New Bond Street, London, opened its prestigious premises to the London exhibition with a celebratory cocktail.
Amid all the excitement of the 200 guests who packed the vast atrium of Asprey’s historic building to view the 34 fabulous timepieces created for this Only Watch event, the buzz of conversation was all about timepieces and the incredible passion and expertise of the participating watch manufacturers.
Luc and Monique Pettavino and their son Paul were present as was Osvaldo Patrizzi and the Patrizzi team. After interviews with the organizers of the event and detail reports on the pieces in the event the cocktail party was filmed by Luxury TV. A huge success the event was also sponsored by Square Up Media and Lanson champagne.

Geneva event
Geneva, international watch capital, was the second stop in the Only Watch world tour. The cocktail, which took place on the first day of this exceptional exhibition, was held in Patrizzi & Co’s elegant showroom in the Old Town.
Over 250 watch enthusiasts and a large number of journalists gathered to admire the 34 unique pieces which combined the watchmakers’ flair for creativity, technology and beauty. Each of these unique timepieces were exhibited with their own displays especially designed by the manufacturers.
The animated and enthusiastic atmosphere created during this event confirmed the passion aficionados have for watchmaking , all in aid of a very deserving cause which supports ongoing research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Shanghai event
Shanghai, as the first stop in the Only Watch World tour, was a great success. The event took place at Park Hyatt Shanghai who kindly took up the challenge to sponsor Only Watch for the first time and this was a great occasion for them to promote such a worthwhile cause. It was also the first time that an exhibition for Only Watch had taken place in Shanghai and helped engender new interest in this city.
We are most grateful to Park Hyatt Shanghai, and would like to thank them for their welcome, and especially the General Manager, Christophe Sadones and his great team. A Press conference was held on Wednesday, to which top Chinese media were invited. This had been organized by Hurun Report, co-sponsor of the event and we would especially like to thank its chairman Rupert Hoogewerf and all those involved. The event culminated in a sumptuous, private cocktail on Friday evening to which many watch collectors, aficionados, as well as promoters of the Only Watch cause gathered to admire the wonderful displays.
The next stop on this exciting tour will be Geneva, from the 27th to the 29th of August, Patrizzi & Co, 9 rue de la Cité, 1204 Geneva. See you there …
